Frany Cruz

Frany Cruz was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and moved to Puerto Rico when he was five years old. He began playing baseball when he was nine with the Santa Teresita league, where his love and passion for the sport was first ignited.

Baseball Experience

After having success in multiple leagues throughout middle and high school, Frany moved to the States to play for Marshalltown Community College, a National Junior College Athletic Association Division 1 school, in Marshalltown, Iowa. There he received the Second-Team All-Region XI award for his sophomore season.

Frany was recruited to play for Iowa Wesleyan University in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, where he was named to the All Conference First Team during his junior year. His senior year, however, proved to be his most successful, as he was named once again to the All Conference First Team, given the Midwest Collegiate Conference Player of the Year award, and named to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics All American Team.

After college, Frany spent a year playing in the Double A Superior Baseball League in Puerto Rico, before settling in Newark, Delaware.

He has been coaching Travel Ball and Little League teams and offering group and individual training sessions since 2015.
